Concrete Actions: Our Circular Packaging Model
At Novatec Pagani, sustainability and environmental stewardship are not static goals, but the driving force behind our operational innovation. Aligned with global resource efficiency standards, we have transformed our value chain to mitigate environmental impact. We have transitioned from a traditional linear model to a robust, closed-loop Circular Economy ecosystem.
Our strategic priority is clear: to minimize reliance on and the generation of virgin resin by reintroducing high-engineering reprocessed materials, ensuring that plastic is not a final waste product, but a constantly evolving industrial asset.
Our Circular Packaging Model contributes directly to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. Through the systematic reuse of polymers and process optimization, we help our business partners meet their waste reduction targets and ESG criteria globally.
Pillars of Our Circular Packaging Strategy
Revaluation of Industrial Solid Waste
We don’t see waste; we see value opportunities. We leverage advanced industrial processes for sanitization, selective washing, mechanical shredding, highly engineered additivation to stabilize the material and protect its molecular properties during melting, and pelletizing of end-of-life plastic crates and containers. This reprocessed material is fed directly back into our injection molding lines under strict quality controls. In this way, we ensure that the final product maintains the mechanical, structural, and resistance properties that characterize our brand, but with a fraction of its original carbon footprint.
2. Strategic Alliances and Reverse Logistics (Closed-Loop with Customers)
Like the major leaders in the FMCG industry, we share responsibility for the life cycle of materials with our business partners. Through collaborative circular economy schemes, we receive damaged or obsolete containers and plastic crates from our own customers. We take care of their technical processing and transformation, returning value to them in the form of new logistics assets and directly helping them to meet their own sustainable development goals.
3. Ecodesign and Resource Efficiency
Every kilogram of plastic recovered, additivated and reprocessed is a kilogram of virgin resin that we avoid extracting from the petrochemical chain. Through geometric optimization in the design of our products and precision in our injection processes, we achieve a double impact: we reduce plastic waste at the industrial level and drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions linked to the production of new polymers.
Did you know? The circular economy in the industrial packaging sector is the most effective tool to mitigate climate change and reduce post-industrial waste. At Novatec Pagani, every pallet and box made from reprocessed material is a firm step towards a Zero Waste ecosystem.
